During my training this week, I was asked, “I’m having a hard time assessing my abilities to put on my resume. What can I do?”
My answer to that question is always to get a 360. A 360 is simply when you ask your co-workers for feedback, honest feedback .
Until today, that has always been a manual process. And possibly a little scary.
What is WorkScore
On September 9th, a brand new social-resume tool for job seekers was launched, called, WorkScore. The idea is that you set up a resume with a list of your skills and how you think you rank.
Then anyone with the company email address can anomalously rank how they think you score. They are encouraged to be as honest as possible. Their comments are for your eyes only. And you get a score on each skill.
Though the tool has many applications, I can see it being useful to you if you are currently employed and looking to get honest feedback about what you are good at and what you need to work on.
